The history of Reticella Lace production dates back to Ming Dynasty, and the unique style was finally shaped in Qing Dynasty under the influence of European missionary.

“De Ji", the predecessor of Qingdao Guohua Art, was founded in 1918 by Mr Yu, the first generation of the family.He, together with his company, have been through flames of war and social reform; and have owned greatprosperity and grieved decay. In the end, the grandson Mr Wang Jun took the decision to inherit and protect thetechnique. 

Thus, in 1991, Qingdao Guohua Art Co., Ltd was founded.

And in 2016, Mr Wang established a museum to record the history of Reticella Lace. 

In 2022, with the efforts of Mr Wang, Reticella Lace technique has been honored National Intangible Cultural Heritage; and Qingdao Guohua Art has become the designated Entity to protect Reticella Lace technique.
